Payments & Refunds Notice

This Notice explains how payments work for the MetaMind AI Agent service ("MetaMind", "we", "us", "Service") and what to do if something goes wrong with a purchase. It is incorporated into the Terms of Service by reference; defined terms there have the same meaning here.
Quick summary. All payments use Telegram Stars (XTR). MetaMind is the merchant of record for what you buy from our Agents — Telegram does not handle our refunds. For any payment issue, send /paysupport in the bot or email operator [at] metamind [dot] team. Telegram support cannot help with purchases from our Agents.
1. Currency: Telegram Stars (XTR)
All purchases of MetaMind digital goods and services are denominated in Telegram Stars (XTR), Telegram's native virtual currency. We do not accept credit cards, fiat bank transfers, or cryptocurrency directly. You acquire Stars through Telegram or its platform partners (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play, Telegram's @PremiumBot); the purchase of Stars themselves is governed by Telegram's and the relevant platform's terms.
2. Merchant of record
MetaMind is the merchant of record for everything you buy through our Agents. Telegram acts as the messaging and payments platform that facilitates Stars transactions; it is not the seller of our digital goods and does not receive your purchase from a refund or dispute perspective.
This means:
- We are responsible for fulfilling what you bought.
- We are responsible for handling refunds and disputes.
- We are the people you contact if a purchase fails or has a problem.
- Telegram support cannot resolve disputes about purchases from our Agents.
3. What you can buy
Through our Agents you may purchase, depending on the Agent:
- Credit packages that are consumed by Agent invocations.
- Subscriptions that grant access for a defined billing period (e.g., monthly).
- One-time access to specific premium Agents or features.
The exact catalogue, prices in Stars, and Agent-by-Agent terms are presented inside the relevant Agent or its mini-app at the moment of purchase.
4. Payment processing — how it actually works
- You select a tier or package inside the bot or mini-app.
- Telegram presents a Stars invoice; you confirm with your Telegram client.
- Telegram sends us a
pre_checkout_query, which we validate (right user, right amount, right item).
- On success, Telegram sends us a
successful_payment event with a telegram_payment_charge_id.
- We credit your wallet or activate your subscription idempotently (a duplicated webhook does not double-credit).
- We never see your card data; we only see the charge ID and the Stars amount.
5. Auto-renewal
Subscription Agents renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. By making a subscription purchase, you authorise MetaMind to charge the corresponding Stars amount at each renewal until you cancel.
You may cancel at any time before the next renewal — see Section 6 for cancellation channels. Where Telegram exposes native renewal-management controls for our subscriptions, you may also use those.
6. Cancellation
You can cancel at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not refund the current paid period, and access continues until the end of that period.
To cancel:
- send
/paysupport in the bot you are subscribed to and ask to cancel; or
- email operator [at] metamind [dot] team from the email associated with your account, including your Telegram username and the Agent name; or
- if Telegram exposes native subscription controls for the Agent, use those.
We will action your cancellation before the next renewal, and confirm by reply.
If MetaMind terminates your access for breach of the Terms of Service or the Acceptable Use Policy, your subscription is cancelled effective on the date of termination and no further auto-renewal will occur. Whether any portion of the paid period is refundable in that situation is governed by Section 7 below and by Section 11 of the Terms of Service.
7. Refunds
7.1 General rule
Purchases of digital services are generally final and non-refundable once the subscription period has begun and the service has been delivered. Use of credits, generation of Agent responses, and consumption of any included quota counts as delivery for that portion of the purchase.
7.2 Technical-fault refund (24-hour window)
If the Service did not deliver what you paid for due to a technical fault attributable to MetaMind (for example, the bot did not respond, the credits were not granted, or the wrong tier was activated), you may request a refund within 24 hours of the purchase. We will issue the refund in Stars using Telegram's refundStarPayment API.
7.3 Goodwill refund for the first term (7 days)
For your first paid term with a given Agent, we will consider a goodwill refund if you request one within 7 days of the purchase. Goodwill refunds are at our discretion and are not guaranteed; we will be reasonable.
7.4 What we do not refund
- Partial periods. If you cancel a monthly subscription part-way through the month, you keep access until the end of the paid period; we do not refund the remainder.
- Already-consumed credits. Credits or quota you have used cannot be refunded.
- Stars themselves. We refund into Stars, returned to your Telegram balance. We do not convert Stars back into fiat currency on your behalf. Stars refunds remain available for future purchases on Telegram; we cannot guarantee that Telegram will offer Stars-to-fiat conversion at any time.
- Disputes outside the windows above, except where required by applicable law.
7.5 Telegram's 21-day refund window
Telegram's Stars refund mechanism is technically constrained: a successful refundStarPayment call requires the original charge to have occurred within approximately the previous 21 days. After that window has closed, Telegram's platform will not return Stars to your balance even where we agree a refund is owed.
Within the 24-hour technical-fault window (§7.2) and the 7-day goodwill window (§7.3), this constraint never binds. For requests outside those windows where applicable law requires a remedy, or where we agree at our discretion that a remedy is appropriate but the 21-day ceiling has been reached, we will look for alternative remedies — for example, credit grants for future Agent usage, an extension of your current subscription period, or another form of comparable value — and we will tell you which remedy we are offering and why.
7.6 How to request a refund
Send /paysupport in the bot, or email operator [at] metamind [dot] team. To help us process quickly, please include:
- your Telegram username;
- the Agent name and approximate date / time of purchase;
- if you have it, the
telegram_payment_charge_id (it appears in the receipt Telegram sent you);
- a brief description of what went wrong.
We aim to respond within 3 business days and to action approved refunds within 7 business days of approval. The refunded Stars appear back in your Telegram Stars balance once Telegram has processed the refund.
Identity verification. Before we action a refund, a cancellation, or a deletion request, we may ask you to confirm a piece of information that links you to the account in question — for example, the approximate date of a recent purchase, the telegram_payment_charge_id from your Telegram receipt, or the email address associated with your account. The purpose is to ensure that we are acting on a request from the actual account holder. If you contact us from the same Telegram account that made the purchase (for example, by /paysupport in the bot you are subscribed to), no further verification is normally required.
8. Pricing changes
We may change prices from time to time.
- For new purchases: the price in effect at the moment of purchase applies.
- For existing subscribers: if a renewal price increases, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by in-bot message and, where available, email, before the new price takes effect at your next renewal. You may cancel at any time before the new price applies.
- Free-tier or trial allowances may be adjusted with shorter notice; we will not retroactively reduce credits already granted to you.
9. Platform-store rules
If the Stars used for a purchase were originally bought through Apple's App Store, Google Play, or another platform, mandatory rules of that platform may also apply to refund and cancellation processes for the Stars themselves. For example, refund of the Stars purchase (the user-to-Telegram step) may need to be initiated through that platform's own refund flow rather than through MetaMind. We can refund the MetaMind purchase (the bot-side step) in Stars; we cannot directly refund Stars to your card on Apple's or Google's behalf.
10. Stars conversion (transparency disclosure)
We may convert Stars to fiat or cryptocurrency in accordance with Telegram's Fragment platform terms. This does not affect your purchase or your refund rights — you always pay in Stars and we always refund in Stars.
11. Taxes
Prices shown in our Agents are the prices charged in Stars. MetaMind will collect or absorb tax as required by applicable law for the jurisdictions in which we operate. Where Telegram's or a platform store's payment flow handles tax on the Stars purchase itself, that is governed by their terms.
12. Records and receipts
Telegram issues you a payment confirmation containing the telegram_payment_charge_id. We keep payment and transaction metadata for at least 7 years to meet accounting and tax-related obligations (see Privacy Policy §8). On request, we can confirm the existence and amount of a charge; we cannot reissue Telegram's own receipt.

We are the right people to contact for any payment matter related to a MetaMind Agent. Telegram support is not.
